Aside from tourism, and their world-renown coffee, Seattle, a large coastal city, also export seafood. Fishing is an well known industry, and this large port is very efficient in its work of exporting all sorts of sea-bearing creatures. The water from the pacific is cold however, choppy, and dangerous. Few would ever risk swimming, if not for the icy cold water, then to avoid the riptides and the risk of getting swept under and drowned.

Uptown Seattle is a artist's sanctuary, a shopper's dream, and a scholar's paradise. Bookstores and library's abound, museums dedicated to the arts lie safe and funded by generous donations, and the shopping, oh the shopping. High end stores will lie in lines down the street for miles before finally branching off to other things, every other block seems to lie some coffee shop, selling their exotic and delicious flavors, causing people from any walk of life, be it the artist, shoppers, or scholars, to to drop in for a bite to eat during the day. In the evening, any lavish restaurant will do, because that's almost all you'll find, unless you're content to cook for yourself, which many are, save those who are rich enough to fully live the uptown Seattle life.

Adjacent to the city of Seattle lies Lake Washington. It's a quiet, freshwater lake fed by a multitude of streams, popular for sailing and swimming, attracting many of Seattle's human occupants for vacations or simply to relax after a long day. Its one of the few large bodies of fresh water around Seattle, save the rivers.
